Operations & reporting — Rules2Tag presets
How an order was taken and when — for exports, staffing and reconciliation.
Each of these is a ready-made rule you can adopt in one click inside Rules2Tag, then change however you like. Nothing runs until you say so, and every rule can be previewed against your own store first.

Orders taken at a particular shop
I want to tell my physical shops apart in the order list
Tags an order rung up at one of the retail locations you list.
Why: In-store orders arrive in the same list as online ones and behave nothing like them: no shipping, different returns, different staff. For a multi-shop business it is also the only per-shop split that survives into an export.
Orders nothing has tagged
I want to find the orders my rules are missing
Tags an order that currently carries no tags at all.
Why: The gap-finder. Rules are written for the cases you thought of, and the orders that match none of them are invisible precisely because nothing labeled them. Tagging the untagged turns that absence into a list you can actually look at — usually the fastest way to discover the rule you should have written.
Tag orders with their date (MM-DD-YYYY)
I want the order date on the order itself so I can filter and export by it
Tags every order with the date it was placed, US-style.
Why: Shopify can filter by date, but a tag travels: into exports, into apps that only read tags, and into saved views that keep working after the date range you chose has moved on. US ordering because that is what the merchant and their accountant read — see the EU variant for the other.
Tag orders with their date (DD-MM-YYYY)
I want the order date on the order itself, in day-first format
Tags every order with the date it was placed, day first.
Why: The same job as the US variant, in the format most of the world writes dates in. Mixing the two in one store is how 03-04 becomes ambiguous, so pick one and use it everywhere.
Tag orders with the day of the week
I want to see which days of the week actually sell
Tags every order with the weekday it was placed on.
Why: Day-of-week is the pattern behind staffing, ad scheduling and when to send email, and it is tedious to extract from dates after the fact. As a tag it is one filter away, forever, in every tool that reads tags.
Orders placed by staff
I want to separate orders my team keyed in from ones customers placed themselves
Tags an order created by one of the staff members you name.
Why: Staff-keyed orders — phone orders, trade-show sales, comps, replacements — behave nothing like self-service ones, and mixing them corrupts conversion rate, channel attribution and any commission calculation built on top.
