Undo History · Tutorial
Get started with Undo History in five steps
A rule only decides what gets flagged — it never edits, blocks or emails on its own. Set it up, make a real change, and see the whole round trip: recorded, flagged, undone.
-
1
Install and open Undo History
Add the app from the Shopify App Store. It opens straight inside your Shopify admin — there is no theme change and nothing to paste anywhere.
-
2
Switch on the alarms that matter to your store
Eleven built-in rules, each its own switch — six start on. Some take a value, like a price drop of at least fifty per cent. Nothing here changes your store; a rule only decides what gets flagged.
-
3
Make a change in Shopify, the ordinary way
Edit a price, a title, or any other tracked field on the product page and save, exactly as you always would. Undo History is not involved in the edit — it is watching.
-
4
See it recorded, and flagged if it crossed a rule
Every tracked change appears in the change log with the field, the value before, and the value after. One that crosses a rule you set carries the reason, written on it — not a bare warning icon.
-
5
Undo it in one click — or recover a deletion
Revert puts a flagged field back to its previous value, on its own, with nothing else touched. If a product was deleted outright, Recently Deleted rebuilds it as a new product from the fields Undo History tracked.
